Tyrell grew up in Kamloops, BC and played his Junior A Lacrosse for the New Westminster Salmonbellies. In addition to coaching Fusion, Tyrell runs Faceoff Control for aspiring faceoff athletes. Tyrell currently plays for the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in the NLL and Salmonbellies in the WLA
