Mary started playing lacrosse at the age of six in New Westminster for the minor Salmonbellies. She has been playing box lacrosse for 17 years with the Salmonbellies. Mary was also a part of Team BC box lacrosse that went to Nationals in 2009 and 2011. She started playing girls’ field lacrosse at 14 years old. In 2012 Mary was a part of the team BC girls field lacrosse team. Mary went on to play four years at Division 1 Long Island University- Brooklyn. She was a two-year captain scoring 112 goals during her four years. Made second-team All-Conference in 2015.

During the summer Mary coached at the SFU girls’ field lacrosse camps for two years. After graduating she traveled to South Australia in 2018 to play in the SA state league. Played 15 games with the Sturt Blue Devils scoring 50 goals, making the Women’s State League All-Star Team, and earning second-highest scorer in the league. While playing in Australia, also coached the Under 19 Sturt Blue Devils women’s team. Currently coaching the New Westminster U15 girls. Mary currently plays box lacrosse for the Women Salmonbellies, and field lacrosse for BC women’s field lacrosse team.
