Fusion West Lacrosse 

COVID-19 Return to Play Guidelines (Updated 10/10)

Our top priority is the health and safety of our players. As such, the following social distancing protocols will be in place at any Fusion West event:

  1. Players will be required to stay home and not attend a Fusion West event should they feel sick or have a family member who they are living with that is not feeling well, regardless of whether or not the player is experiencing symptoms themselves. 

  2. Players will not be allowed to attend a Fusion West event if they have been out of the country within the past 14 days.

  3. Players and coaches will not be allowed common physical greetings, such as handshakes or hugs.

  4. Players and coaches will maintain a distance of 2 meters apart at all times when not partipating in drills.

  5. Players will not be allowed to share equipment.

  6. Players are required to bring their own water bottles, filled prior to the session.

  7. Players are not allowed to share their lunches.

  8. Coaches will be responsible for bringing balls, nets, cones and any other equipment not worn or used by the players to the field.

  9. Coaches will make sure disinfectant is used before and after the session on all items used during practice (ex. balls, nets, cones, etc.).

  10. Parents are not allowed on the field to spectate. Parents must remain outside the facility perimeter fence and are required to be 2 meters apart.

  11. Parents are not allowed to congregate in the designated player drop off area.

  12. Players and coaches must use proper coughing/sneezing etiquette by covering their nose and mouth and/or using their inner elbow.

  13. At all Fusion West events, masks for players and coaches are recommended, but not required.

  14. Players need to arrive at practice sessions promptly, dressed and prepared.All gear should be put on near your own vehicle, prior to proceeding to the facility. In addition, we are limiting the amount of players and coaches on the field at one time to 50 people in total, as per B.C. Center for Disease Control guidelines. We will utilize the entire field to ensure physical distancing measures are in place. 

If hand washing facilities are not available, we will provide hand sanitizer for players and coaches to be used before and after practice.
